So OSCAR buzz is around us for the 2009 movie year. I was thinking what were the good movies that come to mind, very few did. It seems that movies are really beginning to become more and more dull as of late. Nothing that makes me want to jump to the nearest cinema and dish out 14 dollars to watch. Each week prior to friday my girl and I look at the listing of movies, debate it for 2 minutes, and then plan something else to do as another weekend of movies that absolutely suck ass are being released. This really frustrates me, I enjoy movies a lot. Love watching them and talking about them in my spare time, yet movies aren’t even worth talking about these days. They merry musing of movies has turned into video game chat, economics, recession, dinner choices, and weekend travel. It’s saddens me that the year 2010 looks like a repeat in movie quality. Yes the effects are great and big actors are in it, but the story itself lacks interest. Formula’s that worked in the past need to be revamped as society moves forward.
Anyway, let’s look at the nominee’s for this years oscars:
Best picture: Definitely UP should win, UP Was the best movie I saw last year. Had all the elements to make a fantastic movie, even put a little tear jerker toward the end. UP gets my vote. The rest of the movies nominated range from kinda sucks to absolutely sucks
Director – all should lose for making sucky movies. Shame on you!
Best Actor – Nobody, the contenders are boring
Best Actress – Sandra Bollock. We like sandra
Best Supporting Actress – *yawn*……zzzzz
Best Support Actor – who are these people?
Best Animated Film – Ok, this one is tough because Coraline is in it and UP is in it. Both of them I really enjoyed watching, though UP is definitely more involved and characters have more depth in development, coraline was a fun movie and i love tim burton’s style. In the end though, UP it is
Best Original Screen play – wtf is this?
Best Adapted Screenplay – …….stop wasting people’s time
Best foreign language film – why is this a category? I don’t understand what your saying……speaka in english o

haha when me, Susan and a couple other girls saw Up, we started out crying and then laughing at ourselves for crying. Up gets my vote!
yeah, gotta love UP the movie had all the elements needed to make a great movie. Even I almost lost it in the end when he was reading through the adventure book and his wife wrote that message to him.
